Our People

We are a diverse company with over one third of our staff hailing from outside Iceland, an outstanding 16 nationalities in total. Our homegrown and foreign talent work closely with Air Traffic Navigation industry experts to create solutions far beyond our borders.

Our Recruitment Process

Find a role you're interested in applying to our apply to the general application
Hand in your resume/CV and cover letter and we will confirm your submission as soon as it has gone through our system
Initial interview with hiring manager
Secondary interview with relevant team
Offer of employment
Onboarding starts

From time of advertisement, the hiring process takes 4-8 weeks. All applications for job openings are answered when the position has been filled. All general applications are reviewed and applicants will be contacted should a suitable position be available.

We store applications for 6 months in accordance with the Public Archives Act and treated confidential.

Tern Systems has its origins in the University of Iceland and maintains a close relationship with the university community.

We offer summer positions for university students in their 2nd and 3rd years of study, and for students in postgraduate studies, primarily in Computer Science and Engineering. We are also happy to consider applications from other fields.

As a summer employee, you will be a member of one of our development teams working on current Air Traffic Management products, or form a team with other summer employees to work on a specific project.

Many current staff at Tern Systems started their careers through our Summer Internship scheme. Project details may be found below.
